The Journal Project:

For a few years now I’ve gotten into the bad habit of buying pretty and really expensive notebooks, but not using them for anything. Recently, because of a bizzare   dream that I managed to remember in great detail, I turned one into a Dream Diary. It’s actually been a really cool experience, and it inspired me to continue and create other such journals to log bits and pieces of the psychology of me - I could definitely use some help with ideas though! Below is what I’ve got so far:

1.) Dream Diary

I have this really nice leather bound journal that I spent like $20 on a few years ago that I NEVER used for anything. At one point I considered making it into a Book of Shadows, but recently I turned it into a Dream Diary! So now I sleep with this book and a nice black pen next to my bed, and if I wake up after having a dream,  I write it in before I forget.

2.) Wreck This Journal

Wreck This Journal was created by Keri Smith as a method of unlocking creativity through the use of creative destruction. It forces you to go against your better judgement because, let’s be honest, no one wants to hurt books. I picked this up recently because a couple friends have recommended it and I already love it, and can’t wait to do more of the things listed inside.

3.) Binchan’s Pretty Journal

For this journal I’m taking an idea a friend had and employing it. She and her other close friend wrote in a notebook whenever they thought about each other and just wrote their thoughts down, and when it was full they gave it to the other person. One of my best friends, the one who first did this, is moving away for about 8 months, so this journal is their journal. When I fill it up I’m going to send it through the mail to her. She said she’ll do the same for me. <3

4.) Bad Ass Steam Punk Journal (That is also EMPTY)

THIS BEAUTY was purchased at Anime Boston 2011 and was never used. Originally I just bought it for the case (which is made of leather and has a metal steam punk esque clasp to close it) so I could put my copy of Ender’s Game in it, but the book was too big and wouldn’t fit. Not I have an empty journal of unlined paper in need of filling, but no idea what I should put in it. Dreams are already covered, and I feel like a normal diary is over rated when you’ve got Tumblr for that shit. XD Suggestions?
